DIY Glitter nails
I ♥ glitter nails. Mainly because they last FOREVER and well…you know… it’s glitter, what’s not to love?!?
AND on the plus side a glitter mani is super easy to do and pretty foolproof, you just can’t mess it up…the only downside is waiting for it to dry but that’s a problem with every manicure in my book.
So, let’s get started!
You will need:
– base coat (AVON nail experts adhesive base coat)
– fine glitter (Stargazer silver)
– top coat (ELF in clear)
– nail polish remover and q-tips for cleanup
Quickly shake glitter on nail. Obviously the wetter the top coat the stickier it will be. MAKE SURE you do this over a piece of paper so you can save all the glitter that doesn’t fall on the nail.
Clean up any areas that need it. After your nails are dry wash your hands to get rid of any excess glitter stuck on the cuticles.
Apply basecoat. You want to slather it on, well not too much but pretty thick, more than you would normally apply anyway.
Apply top coat. Do this twice and unless you want your top coat to be full of glitter, wipe the brush on the paper or some cotton soaked in nail polish remover before dipping it in the bottle.
