Tender Goth Makeup Tutorial

If you’ve always wanted to wear dark lipstick but were too afraid then you’re in luck! This week I’m showing you how to do this “Tender Goth” look.

I know that dark lips can be intimidating but they don’t have to be.  So for this specific look I feel that it’s very important to keep the skin nice and matte, so I used some Hydrating Face Primer that mattifies the skin and my Kabuki Brush to apply my mineral foundation all over my face. I’ve prepped my eyes for make up so if you don’t know how to do that then check out my “how to prep your eyes from makeup” tutorial.  The only thing I’m going to do to the eyes is just apply a frosty or neutral colored eyeshadow to the inner corner corners of the eye and underneath the brow bone just to give them a little bit of light and definition. The other thing I’m going to do is fill in my eyebrows, again if you don’t know how to do this I have a tutorial for that so be sure to check it out. Now let’s move on to the lips. I’ve already applied lip balm to my lips to make them nice and soft and to prep them for the lipstick, then I’m going to use a tissue to remove the excess. Now I’m going to take a grape colored, dark purple lip pencil to line and fill in my lips. Then with lip brush I’m going to apply a corresponding dark colored lipstick. And that’s pretty much it! See? It wasn’t that difficult right? I hope you feel inspired to try dark colored lips for your next makeup look and if you have any questions or suggestions don’t forget to leave them in a comment below!
